Coastal Charm on Your Doorstep: Morecambe Bay Attractions

Located right on the beach overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland hills beyond, you don’t have to go anywhere at all to appreciate the charm of Morecambe Lodge. Just step out of your caravan and in just a couple of minutes you’ll be strolling on the sand.

There are lots of ways to explore the coast, right on your doorstep, including:

  • Cross Bay Walks – these incredible walks are held regularly throughout the summer months, often for charity. People have been led across the bay by ‘royal guides’ since the 16th Century, and a professional guide is essential to cross safely. Please do not try to cross the bay alone!

  • Explore the Salt Marshes – Morecambe Bay offers a diverse habitat for birds and other wildlife, including Arnside and Silverdale AONB, and RSPB Leighton Moss, and you can explore it all within easy reach of our Morecambe Bay static caravans.

  • Link with great golf – you enjoy the bay from a different perspective at Morecambe Golf Club, a classic links golf course, overlooking the sea. And there are several other courses close by.

  • Stroll on the Sands – the beach outside Morecambe Lodge stretches for miles in both directions, so you can hike as far as you like, or just catch a short stroll after dinner.
